On the 27th August 2010 Direct Connect was upgraded. As a result of these changes it was not possible to convert previous Direct Connect data. Where possible existing candidates will need to re-register. The changes are explained below.
It became clear to us, via conversations with clients that the information contained in the Direct Connect database was too generic. IT, HR and Corporate Banking candidates were all being served by the same set of data. This made it difficult for clients to search the database and limited the work we could do on behalf of candidates.
We've decided to specialise Direct Connect and provide individual databases for job functions. This will enable us to focus Direct Connect and provide a more useful service for clients and candidates alike.
Initially we have decided to concentrate on IT and HR functions. Unfortunately this means that at this time some candidates from the old Direct Connect product are unable to signup. Our intention is to rollout across more job functions as we test and hone the product.
IT and HR candidates are invited to re-register now.
